Frequently Asked Questions
   What are the benefits of using Tru-Hue™ Color Test Boards?

The primary benefit of using
Tru-Hue™ Color Test Boards is the ability for you to conveniently sample real paint colors without touching your walls.

Paint your test boards with sample paint. Mount them on the wall with tape or removable mounting squares. Live with a color for a few days before you commit to choosing one.

Move your test boards around the room to see how various light settings throughout the day will affect your colors choices.

Paint some "mini"  Tru-Hue™ Color Test Boards and take them along with you to use as an accurate color reference when you go shopping for wall coverings, window treatments, bedding, furniture and other accessories. You can't take your walls at home to do this!

Finally, with Tru-Hue™ Test Boards you'll find the "true hue" of a color and avoid costly color surprises.

Avoid this bleed-through scenario and instead use Tru-Hue™ Color Test Boards for sampling your colors!

What about using foam boards for sampling colors?  Why are Tru-Hue™ Color Test Boards better?

Besides being more user-friendly than foam core boards; thinner, less rigid, sit flush on the wall after being painted,   Tru-Hue™ Color Test Boards are more environmentally-friendly too!  Read the following;

Conventional foam core board, such as used for art board, signage,  and display board, is typically a laminated structure comprised of a paperboard facing adhered to a polystyrene foam core.  In the solid waste stream, these are "high bulk" materials that do not degrade readily in a landfill nor can they be recycled with conventional technology. Although some biodegradable foam materials are known, they are not recognized in the industry as being suitable for use in foam core board.

How many Tru-Hue™ Color Test Boards do I need to start testing colors?

If you are using a popular 2-ounce paint color sample, we recommend  "4" of our standard test boards in order to create the optimum 2' x 2' viewing area.
